Here's a recent video I made about the Blackoath Entertainment game Salvage & Sorcery: Scraphounds of Cygnus. In a new format for this kind of video I first give an overview of the rules, then show you an animated mission report from my campaign, and finally do some gameplay on camera.

I recently made this YouTube video where I talk about the fun that results from weird and unexpected plot twists that oracles throw at you in solo RPGs. I'm also inviting everyone to leave their own solo RPG stories in the comments under the video so I can read them out in a future video.

I've been away from the blog for a while for various reasons but here's a summary of what I've been getting up to and what I've got planned for the YouTube channel in the near future.

Just a quick update to say my YouTube series where I share my preparations for playing Mythras solo is now complete and online here .

In this new part of my tutorial series on Scarlet Heroes solo RPG I covered character advancement and played through half an adventure using the rules for urban adventures, with the second half coming soon.

I shot another video in my How to Play Scarlet Heroes series. This time I ran a combat encounter four times: once for each character class.

The second part of my tutorial series is now up. This covers the campaign setting, the basic rules and character classes.

I really enjoy playing Scarlet Heroes solo and have done a lot of playing on this blog, but there aren't many resources on Youtube to help new players with the game. Most of the SH-related videos are brief overviews and flick-throughs of the rulebook without going into much detail. So I decided to start my own series teaching the rules of the game. This first video covers character creation and introduces the unique selling point of the game - that it can be used with any other OSR game to play solo. Later videos will cover the rules, combat and will include short actual plays of the three solo adventure types.
