Introduction The Riddle of Steel is an RPG by Driftwood Publishing from the early 2000s which apparently became pretty popular on its release, generated a lot of interest and then faded away into obscurity. From what I can find online it seems the designers made some bad choices in terms of expansions for the game and the company went under. It's very gritty and brutal with rare but powerful magic that prematurely ages wizards who fumble their spells, and a very  detailed combat system that reminds me of real life fencing. The Ruined Keep, A Dungeon Crawl Classics Funnel: Part 1

Introduction Over on my Youtube channel the Dungeon Crawl Classics solo campaign is going well, but since I can't shoot the videos as often as I'd like I keep forgetting the rules and having to look them up during the sessions, leading to more editing time before I can get the videos online. I decided to start a DCC solo game in my free time, to play offline. This should help me get used to the rules and learn them a bit faster, plus I've been itching to play a traditional hexcrawl campaign lately too. This is a funnel adventure called The Ruined Keep. It's by Daniel J. Bishop and is available for free as part of Sanctum Secorum Episode 3 . I don't even know what that is, to be honest. I just googled free DCC funnels. I've already finished it but I'll transcribe it from my notebook here. Hostile: Alien - Character Creation Part 1

  Introduction Hello! I haven't been very active on the blog lately due to spending time making the Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign videos for the YouTube channel . However there are some gaming projects I want to do that are probably more suited to this written format, like learning to play Hostile from Zozer Games. I'm already learning DCC while making the videos for it, so I'd like a break from taking long pauses on camera going "Errr... Let me just find the page for thief criticals". I've been thinking for a while about doing a playthrough of the film Alien in Hostile. Why Hostile and not the Alien RPG? Because I already own it, and I am broke. A couple of years ago I randomly found a Reddit post by a guy who adapted the film into a scenario for Alien RPG and ran it for his wife and son who weren't familiar with the film.
